This policy explains what data Taler ("we", "us") collects when you use the Taler service, why we collect it, and how we protect it. It reflects how the product actually works.
Information we collect
- Account data — the email address and password you register with. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes, never in plain text.
- Workspace & content data — the workspaces, brand knowledge, topics, and blog posts you create or generate.
- Provider keys — if you bring your own AI provider key, it is stored encrypted at rest and used only to run your generations. Keys are never logged or shown back to you in full.
- Billing data — if you subscribe or top up a wallet, payments are processed by Stripe. We store subscription and wallet-ledger records; we do not store your full card details.
- Operational logs — standard technical logs (timestamps, request metadata, error traces) needed to run and secure the service.
How we use your data
We use your data to operate the service: to authenticate you, run generations, ground content in your brand knowledge, publish drafts to your connected sites, meter usage, and bill you. We do not sell your personal data.
Third-party services
Generating content requires sending your prompts and grounding material to AI providers (for example, the provider behind your chosen model). Publishing sends your drafts to the WordPress site you connect. Billing is handled by Stripe. Each of these processes data on our behalf under their own terms.
Data security
Access to your workspaces is scoped to your account. Provider keys and other secrets are encrypted at rest. We restrict administrative access and follow standard practices to protect data in transit and at rest.
Data retention & your choices
We keep account and content data for as long as your account is active. You can edit or delete your content, and you can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.
